“I can’t tell you how excited the band and crew and everyone else have been, because when we play it out on the road, this is our favorite song to play live,” Braden tells Sounds Like Nashville. “We do a slightly different live version that people will get to see when we’re on tour. We’ve just been looking forward to this one for a long time. It’s like a weight off your shoulders when a song you’ve been wanting to put out gets out there. I’m starting to see an overwhelming response with just people saying how much they love the song and how much they’re ready to see it live. Man, I’m over the moon over this song!”
The release of this live performance comes on the heels of the release of his official music video for “Ways To Miss You.” The MusicRow Awards nominee for Discovery Artist of the Year sent out a call on social media for fans to participate in this music video, which was shot in true Nashville fashion at a honkytonk on Broadway. Co-produced by Randy Montana and Mark Holman and penned by Braden, Holman, and Michael Whitworth, the up-tempo tune that uniquely mixes classic Country with southern and modern Rock, has immediately become a singalong track.
Braden also recently announced his upcoming charity golf outing on Monday, October 25 to benefit National Fallen Fighters Foundation (NFFF) and Hungry Heroes. The tournament will be held at the award-winning Arnold Palmer golf course just outside of Nashville, The Governor’s Club, and will be a day full of golf, fantastic food, gifts and live music presented by Whiskey Jam to help support true heroes.
With his star now on the rise, Braden’s grit and grind for Country music did not come overnight. The Slapout, Alabama native spent seven years as a firefighter and first responder, all the while working his way to Nashville. He remained in the service well after making the move to Music City, building his songwriting repertoire, and even playing shows between shifts. The powerhouse vocalist and emotive lyricist has released several tracks as a major label recording artist, each to massive fan response
Braden’s first Warner Music Nashville release, a powerful take on NEEDTOBREATHE’s “Brother” (listen HERE), paid tribute to his first responder family and all those fighting on the frontlines of the pandemic. The cover quickly racked up more than 2 MILLION views on YouTube. He then introduced his songwriting with “Love Is A Dead End Road” (listen HERE), praised for its “enormous feeling and just the right blend of power and ache” (MusicRow), followed by his solo-penned, “Secret” (listen HERE), which has already racked up over 11 MILLION streams organically without radio airplay, showing just what Braden can do.
Up next, Braden will be taking the stage in Folsom, CA on August 1 followed by his August 6 show at the popular Stoney’s Rockin’ Country in Las Vegas, NV.
